Narrative:
Mountain 6 departure: nichy is fly-over on chart procedure; but is coded in database as fly-by. Training kicked in and I stayed on the magenta line; turned early. ATC called me on it and stated there was 'no problem.' will check all departure/arrival waypoints for fly-by versus fly-over in the future. Update in database; check all sids/stars for correct waypoints.
Original NASA ASRS Text
