Narrative:

During climb received ECAM air engine 1 bleed fault. Bleed valve closed automatically; continued flight but at FL360 instead of FL380. Flight was normal until descent was received to FL340. At that time; we received a second air engine 2 bleed fault. Bleed valve closed as well and aircraft began to slowly depressurize. We received ATC clearance to descend to 10000 ft. Aircraft cabin altitude climbed slowly as we descended but never exceeded 11000 ft and masks didn't deploy. Remainder of flight was completed unpressurized and landing was normal. Maintenance has not yet determined why we had a dual bleed fault. No suggestions for preventing recurrence; but perhaps more/better guidance should be provided to the flight crew as to whether use of APU or ram air push button would have been appropriate. Could not find direction anywhere during our short time frame that addressed those issues.

Title: A319 Captain reports ENG 1 bleed fault during climb causing engine 1 bleed valve to close. During descent approaching destination ENG 2 bleed fault occured causing the aircraft to slowly depressurize.
