Small transport X air taxi crossed in front of a departing small transport Y. When small transport Y crossed the intersection where small transport X had crossed, small transport Y was 500' airborne and small transport X was well clear of the intersection. The crossing was observed by the tower. The local control attempted to cancel takeoff clearance of small transport Y, but the aircraft climbed out with small transport X clear of the runway.

Title: SMT TAXIED ACROSS RWY WHILE ATX-SMT WAS ON TKOF ROLL.
Narrative: SMT X AIR TAXI CROSSED IN FRONT OF A DEPARTING SMT Y. WHEN SMT Y CROSSED THE INTXN WHERE SMT X HAD CROSSED, SMT Y WAS 500' AIRBORNE AND SMT X WAS WELL CLEAR OF THE INTXN. THE XING WAS OBSERVED BY THE TWR. THE LCL CTL ATTEMPTED TO CANCEL TKOF CLRNC OF SMT Y, BUT THE ACFT CLBED OUT WITH SMT X CLR OF THE RWY.
