Narrative:

I went to the airport to charge the aircraft battery and clean same as it had not been run for some time. Twelve days later I went back to further charge the battery and clean same. After the battery had been on charge for about half an hour; I disconnected the battery; entered the cockpit and attempted to start the aircraft. It did not start. I pulled the aircraft from the hangar so it could be in the sun; chocked the front nose wheel; performed a routine preflight inspection; opened the cowling and examined the engine. It looked ok. I left the cowling open; started to enter the cockpit and while doing so; the aircraft started. At the time the aircraft had started; I had my right leg in the cockpit; my left leg was on the ground and I was getting into the aircraft. I do not know why the aircraft started perhaps I inadvertently touched the ignition while trying to enter the cockpit. I had no intention of flying the aircraft; I just wanted to start the engine so it could run a short while. When the aircraft started; it moved forward; over the nose wheel chock and made a left turn. About that time; I fell to the ground. The aircraft proceeded across the pavement and struck a parked corporate jet causing damage to both aircraft.
