Narrative:

[I] was working AR1 arrival position. Simultaneous approaches are required between los angeles and hawthorne arrivals and aircraft on either final cannot be on a visual approach. This is a new procedure after a waiver was denied for concurrent operations. I put several aircraft on visual approaches to los angeles while there was an instrument approach on final to hawthorne; and that procedure is no longer authorized. The situation was brought to my attention by the supervisor in charge. I recommend that the waiver be reinstated to allow for concurrent operations when visual approach is in progress at either los angeles or hawthorne.
