Narrative:
During a straight in approach to calistoga runway 28 unicom did not respond to traffic/field advisory request. Due to being unfamiliar with the airport and terrain the landing was aborted. So we circled to land. Making a right climbing turn to avoid high terrain on the west side of the airport. Returned for landing. BFR: issued a new us certificate in frankfurt march 1988.
