Narrative:

Five miles northeast of covie on the BYP5 arrival descending into dfw out of 9000 ft we were flashed by a green laser at least four times. The first officer saw something from the ground first but did not recognize it as a laser. About ten seconds later; we both saw a green light about our 12:30-1:00 and about three to four miles which I immediately identified as a laser and looked away. No apparent injuries to our eyes. ATC was notified immediately. The cockpit was illuminated at least three more times until the laser passed off our right and eventually behind us. We landed uneventfully. Notified dispatch and briefed the event after landing.
