Narrative:
Applied takeoff power and at approximately 70 KTS received an engine 2 compressor vane fault with associated ECAM warning and chime. Made decision to reject takeoff. Because it was an engine problem below 80 KTS I felt the prudent thing to do was reject the takeoff.

Title: After receiving an ECAM compressor vane warning at 70 KTS an A319 flight crew rejected their takeoff.
Narrative: Applied takeoff power and at approximately 70 KTS received an engine 2 compressor vane fault with associated ECAM warning and chime. Made decision to reject takeoff. Because it was an engine problem below 80 KTS I felt the prudent thing to do was reject the takeoff.
