Narrative:

Weather was clear. We briefed VOR to runway 1 at jac. We cleared out all the fixes before the FAF and descended to 8800 ft (FAF altitude). When we got 'altitude;' we armed the approach. All seemed normal except the magenta approach box showed that we were well above the profile. We continued VMC; and referenced the PAPI; but had we been IMC and followed the guidance on the pfd; we would have been well below profile. Don't know if there was a programing error on my part; but at the briefing; I couldn't figure anything that I had done incorrectly.
