Narrative:
A B777-200 aircraft arrived as a ferry flight. The flight crew contacted maintenance to obtain parking instructions. I was working maintenance control and contacted ramp maintenance lead mechanic for instructions. Which I then relayed to the flight crew; that it would be the big hangar at spot X. The crew apparently being unfamiliar with airport layout; collided with a stop sign contacting engine #2 nose cowl; causing damage. The nose cowl was replaced and aircraft returned to service.
