Enroute from rdu to bos filed for FL330, held to FL290 due to traffic. Requested WX deviation, given choice of west or east of build-ups. Selected east deviation. Cleared to climb to FL310. Conditions IMC, intermittent turbulence. ATC requested heading 360 degree after a few minutes of our east deviation. Unable to comply due to safety of flight, did turn to heading 020 degree. ATC abruptly notified us we were entering restr military training area and told us to squawk 7700. Eventually given altitude 33000.
