Narrative:

Accomplished cfm-56 fan blade; disk and disk dovetail slot cleaning; inspection and relubrication; (using) our maintenance task job card. Found shims missing from blades on #1 engine. There was no shims left off. If shims were taken off they were put back on. Before that; the maintenance task (mt) job card was done online and the entire (fan blade) ship-set was replaced.possibly; when blades were taken off and replaced; shims were taken off with old blades. I don't remember if fan disk was marked or not. Paper work on maintenance task job card under the 'note' section; talks about shims and says; 'if' installed. Did not catch shims not installed; but positive they were not left off.
