Narrative:

Getting very tired of lax ATC giving re-routes (from runway 25L to runway 24R) over grahm intersection on the riivr approach. I don't mind the sequencing; but how about a little notice? How about 20 miles before grahm? Executing the new routing as the airplane is descending and turning over grahm is not safe. Burying our heads in the FMC and trying to complete checklists and brief a new approach that late in the game is not safe. It creates an unneccesary workload increase at a very bad time and is happening far too often in la.
