Narrative:

Upon landing runway 26R atl; tower instructed us to taxi bravo and victor and contact ground on taxiway victor. I questioned taxiway victor having not identified it on the airport diagram. We then saw a taxiway sign depicting victor with a half left to victor. As I made contact with ground; we were then instructed to taxi to ramp via bravo and victor. We interpreted this as a clearance to cross runway 26L on taxiway bravo and victor to ramp. We did not realize that we were still on taxiway bravo and not victor and crossed the runway on bravo. Victor was a half left turn and not a full left turn; which placed us still on bravo at the wrong crossing point. Taxiway victor would have bypassed a runway crossing but the signage misled us to believe we were on victor. This is depicted as a hotspot 1; which is only now clear to us. This event occurred to us due to poor signage at this hotspot. The ground controller must not have been looking our way when we crossed runway 26L at bravo and victor. We were not in a hurry and believed we were indeed following our instructions. I am fearful that this error will happen again to other crews landing runway 26R.

Title: An air carrier flight crew inadvertently crossed Runway 26L at ATL after landing Runway 26R and being cleared via Taxiways B and V to the ramp. Confusing signage where B turns into V was cited as a factor.
