Narrative:

A crack was found at body station (bs) 500B; between stringer (str) 20-right and str 21-right; migrated from a grommet hole. An engineering authorization (ea) was issued and worked and completed. I closed out the non-routine (nr) write-up; noting all 4 steps on the ea had been completed. All parts were complete and inspected.since the ea had step 6 as a time restricted deferral; with no inspection stamp block; it was overlooked and not transferred to the nr write-up and therefore was overflown.

Title: An Aircraft Inspector reported an engineering authorization for a crack repair follow-up inspection on a B737-300 at body station 500B; between stringer (STR) 20-Right and 21-Right; had not been accomplished. As a result; the aircraft overflew the time deferral limits.

Narrative: A crack was found at Body Station (BS) 500B; between Stringer (STR) 20-Right and STR 21-Right; migrated from a grommet hole. An engineering authorization (EA) was issued and worked and completed. I closed out the non-routine (NR) write-up; noting all 4 steps on the EA had been completed. All parts were complete and Inspected.Since the EA had step 6 as a time restricted deferral; with no inspection stamp block; it was overlooked and not transferred to the NR write-up and therefore was overflown.
