Narrative:

On downwind descending to landing. EICAS message 'le slat asym' and leading edge light came on. Accomplished QRH 767 'le slat asym' procedure used checklist; we got le flap disagree light. Landed with 20 flaps VREF30 + 30 good soft landing. Advised maintenance and ramp that we left flaps extended; for troubleshooting. Flaps 1 was called at 230 KTS vrf+80 221 KT; light came on at about 225 KTS. The first officer; pilot flying; did an excellent job flying the approach; communicating with ATC; and making a good soft landing.
