Narrative:

While on final approach I put in ten degrees of flaps which in turn caused the aircraft to balloon. Still; I decided to salvage the landing; and did so. I then approached ground effect; started to flare and touched down; but was a bit too fast on ground. I immediately slammed the brakes which caused the plane to skid on the runway. This then caused the aircraft to veer into the grass and come back onto the runway; where it promptly came to a full stop. I proceeded to taxi to park and was on my way. There was no damage to the aircraft or to any equipment at the airport.
