Narrative:

Left engine fire loop 2 failed followed by failure of loop 1; leaving the fire deterrent system inoperable for the engine (EICAS message 'det fire engine left' status messages 'overheat circuit L1; fire loop 1 engine left; overheat circuit L2; fire loop 2 engine left.' we called dispatch and maintenance control and the decision made to divert. I posted relief pilot to crew rest seat to visually monitor the engine during the divert. Flight landed overweight by 29K pounds without further event.
