Narrative:

I was working combined radar at about XA45Z. I had 4 inbnds to kalamazoo, 2 were flts and 1 departure. I had small transport X as #1 and he said he was too high, so I gave him a left turn to a heading of 090 degrees. I then stopped his turn on a 130 degree heading. I had small aircraft Y east of the final about 4 mi heading 270 degrees. I saw it was going to be close, so when small transport X was about 2-2 1/2 mi west of the final, I turned him to a 010 degree heading to intercept the final and turned small aircraft Y left to a heading of 180 degrees. Because I knew it was going to be close, I told both pilots to give me tight turns several times. The pilot of small transport X told me he was turning at a 30 degree bank and I saw that small aircraft Y was heading 180 degrees, and it appeared that the courses were diverging. I thanked both pilots for the tight turns.

Title: CTLR VECTORING ACFT FOR ARR SEQUENCE HAD LESS THAN STANDARD SEPARATION BETWEEN AN SMT AND AN SMA. CTLR WORKING COMBINED POSITION.

Narrative: I WAS WORKING COMBINED RADAR AT ABOUT XA45Z. I HAD 4 INBNDS TO KALAMAZOO, 2 WERE FLTS AND 1 DEP. I HAD SMT X AS #1 AND HE SAID HE WAS TOO HIGH, SO I GAVE HIM A LEFT TURN TO A HDG OF 090 DEGS. I THEN STOPPED HIS TURN ON A 130 DEG HDG. I HAD SMA Y E OF THE FINAL ABOUT 4 MI HDG 270 DEGS. I SAW IT WAS GOING TO BE CLOSE, SO WHEN SMT X WAS ABOUT 2-2 1/2 MI W OF THE FINAL, I TURNED HIM TO A 010 DEG HDG TO INTERCEPT THE FINAL AND TURNED SMA Y LEFT TO A HDG OF 180 DEGS. BECAUSE I KNEW IT WAS GOING TO BE CLOSE, I TOLD BOTH PLTS TO GIVE ME TIGHT TURNS SEVERAL TIMES. THE PLT OF SMT X TOLD ME HE WAS TURNING AT A 30 DEG BANK AND I SAW THAT SMA Y WAS HDG 180 DEGS, AND IT APPEARED THAT THE COURSES WERE DIVERGING. I THANKED BOTH PLTS FOR THE TIGHT TURNS.
