Narrative:

After being cleared for take off at ZZZ rwy 07L; we took the runway. Captain was flying pilot. As he straightened out the aircraft and began application of power; the yaw damper failed. Captain retarded thrust levers with ground speed estimated 10-15 kts. We advised tower that we needed to taxi clear of the runway. Ground cleared us to taxi to the holding pad. Captain contacted dispatch and maintenance and we deferred the yaw damper. Continued to our destination without incident. When we landed; maintenance personnel replaced our temporary deferred sticker but also questioned why we didn't return to gate in ZZZ. We completed last 2 legs with same aircraft.
