Descending through FL240; numerous EICAS messages occurred including standby power off and le slat disagree. Declared emergency and followed QRH procedures. Landed without incident or injury. Airport rescue and firefighting looked aircraft over. Taxied to gate.

Title: A B767's STANDBY DC BUS failed and displayed confusing EICAS messages with various failed component indications. The LE SLAT DISAGREE was the first EICAS message while the actual failed component; the STANDBY DC BUS was listed as the fifth indented EICAS message.
