Narrative:

While pulling up from the fourth swath run on the field for the purpose of applying crop protection products; a wire was struck on the north end of the field. Approximate height of the wire was twenty feet. The heading was north at an airspeed of 100 mph. A contributing factor to the wire strike was fact that wire cut cross field; at angle from last pole to next pole; which was hidden in trees on adjacent property. If wire had followed road and field edge the event likely would not have occurred. A cautionary landing at an airport 1.5 miles south of the wire strike was performed immediately. Wings were level and pitch attitude of 0-10 degrees up at moment of strike.
