Narrative:

Widebody transport was parked parallel to and directly on the only taxiway centerline leading to lga terminal gates at xapm and again at xcpm. My assigned gate was gate #Z, requiring me to taxi between the widebody transport and the terminal--also between the taxi line and the terminal. I refused. The widebody transport was parked there for over 24 hours and, I was told by mechanics, that widebody transport aircraft are frequently parked there for repairs. See reverse for diagram. This is a hazard, requiring pilots to leave the prescribed taxiway line to go to the gate, leaving wing tip clrncs open to doubt. Inasmuch as it is a frequent occurrence, it should be halted. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: this pilot's refusal to taxi by the parked widebody transport may have accomplished what was needed because on his next series of trips it was no longer parked blocking the taxiway to gate.

Title: PLT MLG REFUSED TAXI OFF TAXI LINE BETWEEN PARKED WDB AND TERMINAL.

Narrative: WDB WAS PARKED PARALLEL TO AND DIRECTLY ON THE ONLY TXWY CENTERLINE LEADING TO LGA TERMINAL GATES AT XAPM AND AGAIN AT XCPM. THE WDB WAS PARKED THERE FOR OVER 24 HRS AND, I WAS TOLD BY MECHANICS, THAT WDB ACFT ARE FREQUENTLY PARKED THERE FOR REPAIRS. SEE REVERSE FOR DIAGRAM. THIS IS A HAZARD, REQUIRING PLTS TO LEAVE THE PRESCRIBED TXWY LINE TO GO TO THE GATE, LEAVING WING TIP CLRNCS OPEN TO DOUBT. INASMUCH AS IT IS A FREQUENT OCCURRENCE, IT SHOULD BE HALTED. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING: THIS PLT'S REFUSAL TO TAXI BY THE PARKED WDB MAY HAVE ACCOMPLISHED WHAT WAS NEEDED BECAUSE ON HIS NEXT SERIES OF TRIPS IT WAS NO LONGER PARKED BLOCKING THE TXWY TO GATE.
