Narrative:

Pw 4000 engine oil changed from 2380 to 2197 and o-rings not compatible with new engine oil 2197. New engine oil deteriorates o-rings; which could cause loss of engine oil. Illustrated parts catalog (ipc) and job instruction cards (jic) have never been changed to reflect new o-ring part numbers. This has been ongoing since 2004. Management; engineering and quality assurance have been notified numerous times with no action taken on this problem.
