Narrative:

Runways 29 and 35R were the active runways. We were initially cleared to taxi from gate to runway 29; via 'M;' hold short of 'G' for opposite direction 767 from another carrier. Ground subsequently directed said 767 to turn left on 'north' to join runway 29 for back taxi to taxiway C. At this point we were cleared to continue taxiing. Our instructions were; 'turn left on G; taxi to runway 29.' as we were approaching taxiway D; ground instructed a southbound jet from the other carrier on 'D' to give way to us. Both the first officer and I cleared final and continued past 'D' to cross runway 35R. As we were crossing; tower instructed a small jet (I think it was a lear) on final to 'go-around.' only after he pitched up did we even see him as he had no landing lights illuminated. Once clear of runway 35R; tower told us to call ground. Ground told us he was trying to call us to get us to hold short of runway 35R. Apparently; we had switched over to tower prior to crossing runway 35R. Ground gave me a number to call when we reached our destination. When I called them; they had listened to the tapes; and we were cleared all the way to runway 29. They claimed we were between 'P' and 'D' when they tried to get us to stop. We never heard them. Per the fom; approximately 2;000 ft (possibly even a little more) to the end of runway 29; I chimed the flight attendants and called for the before takeoff checklist. When the first officer ran it; he changed to tower frequency. This occurred prior to crossing runway 35R. I'm not sure why tower didn't try to contact us. If they tried to call us between 'P' and 'D;' it seems like they at least should have tried on tower frequency. That said; in the future as part of my brief; I will emphasize to the first officer to verbalize when he has changed to tower frequency on taxi out. Additionally; I will brief not to change the radio until instructed to by ground; or past all active runways. Supplemental information from acn 823586: taxiing down golf; ground control told a 767 from another carrier on delta to give way to us. As we approached runway 35R I checked the final to make sure it was clear; we started the before takeoff checklist; then switched to tower control. As I switched frequencies; I heard tower tell an aircraft to go around. I looked out the window to see a small jet on approach to runway 35R go around. This aircraft did not have any landing lights on. It looked like a small private or corporate jet. I never heard ground or tower control give us hold short instructions. I'm just not sure where I switched to the tower frequency. I feel like I switched as we crossed the runway. There would not have been time to stop. However; in the future I will make a point to wait until well clear of an active runway to change frequencies.

Title: B737 flight crew report possible runway incursion at SDF as Lear is required to go around. B737 crew was cleared to cross then Ground called for a hold short but the crew had already switched to Tower.
