Narrative:

I'd like to bring to your attention a safety concern that I have noticed on the B757 where the safety barrier-gate is installed. My air carrier uses door L1 for boarding and deplaning at most gates. I have noticed that while boarding; people get stuck on the gate which is not possible to lock in place firmly. (It has a latch at the top but the bottom can be easily pulled out if caught on something and then the whole gate can come undone). Roll aboards; feet; coats; arms; etc; all seem to catch on the gate on every flight. I can only speak for what I see on the B757 aircraft which is the aircraft we mostly use out of these airports. I sincerely believe that in an evacuate/evacuation the gate would become a serious obstacle and for this reason I am reporting it.
