Narrative:

On approach I was initially PF. On downwind at approximately 3000 ft; I asked for flaps 1 degree. When I asked for flaps 5 degrees we realized the flaps stopped between 1 and 5. We then realized the flaps were jammed; and declared an emergency. The captain took over control of the aircraft. We extended our downwind; followed the QRH procedure and landed uneventfully.
