Narrative:

I was assigned to verify failure of the elevator feel computer on aircraft XXX; my troubleshooting determined indeed that the elevator feel computer was leaking. I proceeded to replace it with a svcable unit. Today I was informed that when the aircraft entered heavy check they found a trammel bar in the tail compartment of the aircraft. I thought that I had returned all the tools to the tool crib; but inadvertently; the trammel bar was left behind without me being aware of it.
