Narrative:

Blocked three radio calls from ATC and blocked 3 checklist calls today. This system is an intrusion and does not enhance safety. Raas is a safety hazard and I will not be surprised to read that this has caused a runway incursion or accident. I am becoming conditioned to ignoring what the computer says and stopping all cockpit activity when raas is activated. Yesterday during heavy traffic I made tower repeat our position and hold clearance due to raas blocking the transmission. We also made tower repeat takeoff clearance due to raas blocking transmissions. All this with aircraft on final for our runway. Deactivate it now please.

Title: FO RPTS THE NEW RAAS IS TOO LOUD AND BLOCKS IMPORTANT COMS.

Narrative: BLOCKED THREE RADIO CALLS FROM ATC AND BLOCKED 3 CHKLIST CALLS TODAY. THIS SYSTEM IS AN INTRUSION AND DOES NOT ENHANCE SAFETY. YESTERDAY DURING HEAVY TFC I MADE TOWER REPEAT OUR POSITION AND HOLD CLRNC DUE TO RAAS BLOCKING THE TRANSMISSION. WE ALSO MADE TOWER REPEAT TAKEOFF CLRNC DUE TO RAAS BLOCKING TRANSMISSIONS. ALL THIS WITH ACFT ON FINAL FOR OUR RWY. DEACTIVATE IT NOW PLEASE.
