Narrative:

Operational information is not being kept up-to-date in the tower and TRACON. The information display system (ids-4) which puts the information at hand for controllers at the position of operation has not been updated with critical operational information in more than 2 yrs. Specifically; approach plates haven't been updated since feb/xa/06; and location identifiers haven't been updated since apr/xa/06. This problem has persisted since the facility lost its staff personnel. The manager and lone supervisor do not know enough about the system to be able to keep it up to date.
