Narrative:
On takeoff from a beach I ran into a river bank damaging the propeller engine; cowling; and nosewheel. I didn't give myself enough beach to take off from and the sand was a little softer than I thought it was. We didn't get airborne like I thought we should have and ran out of runway. I had the nose high attitude to fly and I couldn't see very well out in front of the aircraft; just to the side.
