Narrative:

I feel compelled to write a safety report regarding this schedule. Yesterday; I arrived in sfo at XI18 local; thus; an XA30 PST wake-up. Today; I have a departure of XW15 PST for an all-night leg to ZZZ. This type of schedule implies a complete disregard to circadian rhythms and it has a high potential for fatigue. It is incredibly difficult to switch from an early east coast departure on one day; to a 'red-eye' the next. The airlines should not be scheduling trips of that nature in such close proximity. I believe that this type of scheduling is the greatest threat to our safety in this airline.

Title: ACR CAPT RPTED THAT HIS AIRLINE IS SCHEDULING A320 FLT CREWS FOR FLYING WITHOUT REGARD FOR CIRCADIAN RHYTHM.

Narrative: I FEEL COMPELLED TO WRITE A SAFETY RPT REGARDING THIS SCHEDULE. YESTERDAY; I ARRIVED IN SFO AT XI18 LCL; THUS; AN XA30 PST WAKE-UP. TODAY; I HAVE A DEP OF XW15 PST FOR AN ALL-NIGHT LEG TO ZZZ. THIS TYPE OF SCHEDULE IMPLIES A COMPLETE DISREGARD TO CIRCADIAN RHYTHMS AND IT HAS A HIGH POTENTIAL FOR FATIGUE. IT IS INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT TO SWITCH FROM AN EARLY EAST COAST DEP ON ONE DAY; TO A 'RED-EYE' THE NEXT. THE AIRLINES SHOULD NOT BE SCHEDULING TRIPS OF THAT NATURE IN SUCH CLOSE PROX. I BELIEVE THAT THIS TYPE OF SCHEDULING IS THE GREATEST THREAT TO OUR SAFETY IN THIS AIRLINE.
