Narrative:

I was working R47 at ZMA (the d-side was not staffed) and received a handoff from R46 on air carrier X turning direct eyw. I pointed out the aircraft to R24 and handed it off to the next sector which should have been R26 (usually combined at R06). When I shipped the aircraft; I noticed that R05 had the handoff and used the R05 frequency. Later; I could not recall if I had initially handed off the aircraft to R26 or to R05 by mistake. If I did not initially hand it off to R26; the aircraft may have entered R26 airspace without a handoff or pointout.

Title: ZMA CTLR DESCRIBED POSSIBLE OPDEV WHEN HDOF TO WRONG SECTOR MAY HAVE OCCURRED.

Narrative: I WAS WORKING R47 AT ZMA (THE D-SIDE WAS NOT STAFFED) AND RECEIVED A HDOF FROM R46 ON ACR X TURNING DIRECT EYW. I POINTED OUT THE ACFT TO R24 AND HANDED IT OFF TO THE NEXT SECTOR WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN R26 (USUALLY COMBINED AT R06). WHEN I SHIPPED THE ACFT; I NOTICED THAT R05 HAD THE HDOF AND USED THE R05 FREQ. LATER; I COULD NOT RECALL IF I HAD INITIALLY HANDED OFF THE ACFT TO R26 OR TO R05 BY MISTAKE. IF I DID NOT INITIALLY HAND IT OFF TO R26; THE ACFT MAY HAVE ENTERED R26 AIRSPACE WITHOUT A HDOF OR POINTOUT.
