Narrative:

It was pointed out to me by a fellow crew member that I have been incorrectly reciting the portion of the safety announcement with regard to the safety light on the life vests on the B737NG. I have been omitting the phrase 'if there is a yellow tab on the front of the vest; remove the tab to turn on the safety light.' for some reason; I thought that the light's power source automatically activated in water and no longer required that a tab be pulled prior to activation. Upon careful review of the announcement text I have; of course; found this to be incorrect. I will take the necessary steps to impart the correct information to our passenger in the future. I have also re-read the flight attendant manual to re-familiarize myself with the correct procedure for use of the life vests.
