Narrative:
Flight plan filed rikle ape J83 djb. New first officer. Ape was a company report point. Pre departure clearance clearance had our flight filed rikle djb. Both pilots missed the change in the pre departure clearance. ZID inquired if we were turning to ape on climb out and we affirmed our clearance as ape J83 djb. ZID said just go direct djb. Did not seem to be any problem or conflict with center; but I realized that we had misread the pre departure clearance.

Narrative: FLT PLAN FILED RIKLE APE J83 DJB. NEW FO. APE WAS A COMPANY RPT POINT. PDC CLRNC HAD OUR FLT FILED RIKLE DJB. BOTH PLTS MISSED THE CHANGE IN THE PDC. ZID INQUIRED IF WE WERE TURNING TO APE ON CLBOUT AND WE AFFIRMED OUR CLRNC AS APE J83 DJB. ZID SAID JUST GO DIRECT DJB. DID NOT SEEM TO BE ANY PROB OR CONFLICT WITH CTR; BUT I REALIZED THAT WE HAD MISREAD THE PDC.
