Narrative:

Severe thunderstorms in southeast florida area. During a slow and very gradual descent; we encountered severe turbulence. The headrest on the back of the flight attendant jumpseat was not mounted securely. It detached; hit ceiling of aircraft; hit me on top of my head; then bounced off me and hit passenger's shoulder in seat 17C. Many of the flight attendant jumpseat's headrests are not mounted securely on the seats. They are not locked in and easily detached.

Title: A FLT ATTENDANT ON A CRJ700 WAS STRUCK ON THE HEAD BY A JUMPSEAT HEADREST THAT CAME LOOSE IN TURB.

Narrative: SEVERE TSTMS IN SE FLORIDA AREA. DURING A SLOW AND VERY GRADUAL DSCNT; WE ENCOUNTERED SEVERE TURB. THE HEADREST ON THE BACK OF THE FLT ATTENDANT JUMPSEAT WAS NOT MOUNTED SECURELY.
