Narrative:

Due to a cracked side window on the captain's side; we descended early into ZZZ. We were at 6000 ft at 200 KIAS; complying with the QRH; and on a vector from ATC. We got the initial TCAS TA and then ATC told us of the target; which was unconfirmed. When we got the RA; we climbed immediately. The first officer told ATC of our compliance to the RA. We climbed to 6800 ft before getting a clear of conflict; at which point we told ATC we were clear and descending back to 6000 ft. He then cleared us to 5000 ft; and the rest of the approach into ZZZ was normal.
