Narrative:

My captain and I loaded our own cargo in ZZZ. We loaded some tool boxes; equipment; and CO2 bottles. After fueling the aircraft in ZZZ; we boarded the plane and conducted business as normal. We ran checklist; received our IFR clearance and waited for another aircraft to clear the runway. We then taxied to the runway and proceeded to depart. It was my turn to fly the aircraft. The captain gave me the controls of the aircraft and we started the takeoff roll. As we accelerated some cargo began to shift. Once it shifted; I heard a loud hissing sound. I knew we had CO2 bottles on the aircraft. The captain asked 'what is that noise?' I stated 'it's a CO2 bottle.' I rejected the takeoff; pulled the power into reverse; and applied the brakes. The captain then took control of the aircraft. He turned the aircraft around to taxi back to the ramp. About half of the way to the taxiway; I smelled or tasted something that made me concerned. I opened my cockpit window and told the captain to do the same. He opened his window. We cleared the runway and as the aircraft slowed; I noticed it was a little harder to breathe. I said to the captain that he needed to get the plane shut down so we could get the front airstair door open. We got clear of the taxiway and the captain stopped the plane. I was coughing and having a hard time breathing. I moved over towards the window and caught my breath. I then told the captain I was going to open the front door. I got up; leaned over to the door; and grabbed the handle. I then have a real faint memory of coming out of the plane. I woke up outside the aircraft lying on the ground. I got up and looked around. I was cold and a little dizzy. I found the captain and got him up and to his feet. We got over to the hangar door that leads into an FBO. When I tried to open; it was locked. At that time; I believe the owner came over and opened the door. As I went into the restroom to clean up; the captain sat down on some chairs against the wall. While I was washing up; a man came in and had me come out and situation down. I went out and sat against the wall. There were about 7 or 8 people helping to get us warm and some others helping to clean me up. I had cut my face and the bleeding had stopped. They put warm packs around me. The helpers put us into some very warm sleeping type bags. We were transported to the local clinic and received treatment. The nurse told me she wanted us to get in to see the emergency room. She said the air ambulance flight was coming out. When they showed up; I walked to the ambulance; walked into the plane; and walked off the plane. I got into the ambulance and was transported to the emergency room.

Title: IMPROPERLY SECURED CABIN CARGO ON BE19 RESULTS IN CO2 GAS RELEASE AND INCAPACITATION OF BOTH CREWMEMBERS FOLLOWING RTO AND EVACUATION OF THE ACFT.

Narrative: MY CAPT AND I LOADED OUR OWN CARGO IN ZZZ. WE LOADED SOME TOOL BOXES; EQUIP; AND CO2 BOTTLES. AFTER FUELING THE ACFT IN ZZZ; WE BOARDED THE PLANE AND CONDUCTED BUSINESS AS NORMAL. WE RAN CHKLIST; RECEIVED OUR IFR CLRNC AND WAITED FOR ANOTHER ACFT TO CLR THE RWY. WE THEN TAXIED TO THE RWY AND PROCEEDED TO DEPART. IT WAS MY TURN TO FLY THE ACFT. THE CAPT GAVE ME THE CTLS OF THE ACFT AND WE STARTED THE TKOF ROLL. AS WE ACCELERATED SOME CARGO BEGAN TO SHIFT. ONCE IT SHIFTED; I HEARD A LOUD HISSING SOUND. I KNEW WE HAD CO2 BOTTLES ON THE ACFT. THE CAPT ASKED 'WHAT IS THAT NOISE?' I STATED 'IT'S A CO2 BOTTLE.' I REJECTED THE TKOF; PULLED THE PWR INTO REVERSE; AND APPLIED THE BRAKES. THE CAPT THEN TOOK CTL OF THE ACFT. HE TURNED THE ACFT AROUND TO TAXI BACK TO THE RAMP. ABOUT HALF OF THE WAY TO THE TXWY; I SMELLED OR TASTED SOMETHING THAT MADE ME CONCERNED. I OPENED MY COCKPIT WINDOW AND TOLD THE CAPT TO DO THE SAME. HE OPENED HIS WINDOW. WE CLRED THE RWY AND AS THE ACFT SLOWED; I NOTICED IT WAS A LITTLE HARDER TO BREATHE. I SAID TO THE CAPT THAT HE NEEDED TO GET THE PLANE SHUT DOWN SO WE COULD GET THE FRONT AIRSTAIR DOOR OPEN. WE GOT CLR OF THE TXWY AND THE CAPT STOPPED THE PLANE. I WAS COUGHING AND HAVING A HARD TIME BREATHING. I MOVED OVER TOWARDS THE WINDOW AND CAUGHT MY BREATH. I THEN TOLD THE CAPT I WAS GOING TO OPEN THE FRONT DOOR. I GOT UP; LEANED OVER TO THE DOOR; AND GRABBED THE HANDLE. I THEN HAVE A REAL FAINT MEMORY OF COMING OUT OF THE PLANE. I WOKE UP OUTSIDE THE ACFT LYING ON THE GND. I GOT UP AND LOOKED AROUND. I WAS COLD AND A LITTLE DIZZY. I FOUND THE CAPT AND GOT HIM UP AND TO HIS FEET. WE GOT OVER TO THE HANGAR DOOR THAT LEADS INTO AN FBO. WHEN I TRIED TO OPEN; IT WAS LOCKED. AT THAT TIME; I BELIEVE THE OWNER CAME OVER AND OPENED THE DOOR. AS I WENT INTO THE RESTROOM TO CLEAN UP; THE CAPT SAT DOWN ON SOME CHAIRS AGAINST THE WALL. WHILE I WAS WASHING UP; A MAN CAME IN AND HAD ME COME OUT AND SIT DOWN. THE NURSE TOLD ME SHE WANTED US TO GET IN TO SEE THE EMER ROOM. SHE SAID THE AIR AMBULANCE FLT WAS COMING OUT. WHEN THEY SHOWED UP; I WALKED TO THE AMBULANCE; WALKED INTO THE PLANE; AND WALKED OFF THE PLANE. I GOT INTO THE AMBULANCE AND WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE EMER ROOM.
