Narrative:

Air carrier attempted to check onto my frequency (128.15 at sector 58) numerous times before returning to the previous controller's frequency. That controller then alerted me to the situation. When the pilot tried again; I only knew he was calling me by observing the frequency receive indicator lights on the vscs equipment 'twinkle.' I then transmitted to the pilot asking him to '...say again?' this seemed to clear the problem partially. When the pilot again transmitted to me; my reception of his transmission kept cutting out. I was only able to clear the situation by disabling the diversity algorithm function for this frequency. This frequency has been having receive problems for several months now.

Title: ZHU CTLR VOICED CONCERN REGARDING ON GOING PROBLEM WITH FREQ 128.15.

Narrative: ACR ATTEMPTED TO CHK ONTO MY FREQ (128.15 AT SECTOR 58) NUMEROUS TIMES BEFORE RETURNING TO THE PREVIOUS CTLR'S FREQ. THAT CTLR THEN ALERTED ME TO THE SIT. WHEN THE PLT TRIED AGAIN; I ONLY KNEW HE WAS CALLING ME BY OBSERVING THE FREQ RECEIVE INDICATOR LIGHTS ON THE VSCS EQUIP 'TWINKLE.' I THEN XMITTED TO THE PLT ASKING HIM TO '...SAY AGAIN?' THIS SEEMED TO CLR THE PROB PARTIALLY. WHEN THE PLT AGAIN XMITTED TO ME; MY RECEPTION OF HIS XMISSION KEPT CUTTING OUT. I WAS ONLY ABLE TO CLR THE SIT BY DISABLING THE DIVERSITY ALGORITHM FUNCTION FOR THIS FREQ. THIS FREQ HAS BEEN HAVING RECEIVE PROBS FOR SEVERAL MONTHS NOW.
