Narrative:

Departing ZZZ en route to ZZZ2 departure notified us a tire fell off our airplane. After confirming tire size we knew it was a main tire. We contacted our company and were told to proceed to ZZZ2. We asked to have emergency trucks standing by. The landing was normal and we did not have any problems. This problem was probably caused by a bearing failure. The plane was postflt inspected and preflight inspected by the crew and there were no indications of a problem prior to this flight. These bearings are sealed and not visible to the crew. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated their initial concern centered around the question; was that the nose tire?? Seeing as how they had only one nosewheel tire; not two as on the main gear. After confirming with departure that the errant tire was a main wheel; they continued to destination. After landing; they noticed the right main gear; inboard tire was missing. Interestingly; the wheel axle nut; washer and the inner race of the wheel bearing were still secure on the axle. Only problem was; the tire was missing. Reporter also stated this was not the first time this aircraft type has lost a tire. They did not hear any noise or experience any vibration as a result of the tire separating from the axle.

Title: A RAYTHEON BEECHCRAFT 1900 FLIGHT CREW WAS NOTIFIED BY DEPARTURE THAT A TIRE APPEARED TO HAVE FALLEN OFF THEIR ACFT AFTER TAKE-OFF.

Narrative: DEPARTING ZZZ ENRTE TO ZZZ2 DEP NOTIFIED US A TIRE FELL OFF OUR AIRPLANE. AFTER CONFIRMING TIRE SIZE WE KNEW IT WAS A MAIN TIRE. WE CONTACTED OUR COMPANY AND WERE TOLD TO PROCEED TO ZZZ2. WE ASKED TO HAVE EMER TRUCKS STANDING BY. THE LNDG WAS NORMAL AND WE DID NOT HAVE ANY PROBS. THIS PROB WAS PROBABLY CAUSED BY A BEARING FAILURE. THE PLANE WAS POSTFLT INSPECTED AND PREFLT INSPECTED BY THE CREW AND THERE WERE NO INDICATIONS OF A PROB PRIOR TO THIS FLT. THESE BEARINGS ARE SEALED AND NOT VISIBLE TO THE CREW. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: REPORTER STATED THEIR INITIAL CONCERN CENTERED AROUND THE QUESTION; WAS THAT THE NOSE TIRE?? SEEING AS HOW THEY HAD ONLY ONE NOSEWHEEL TIRE; NOT TWO AS ON THE MAIN GEAR. AFTER CONFIRMING WITH DEPARTURE THAT THE ERRANT TIRE WAS A MAIN WHEEL; THEY CONTINUED TO DESTINATION. AFTER LANDING; THEY NOTICED THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR; INBOARD TIRE WAS MISSING. INTERESTINGLY; THE WHEEL AXLE NUT; WASHER AND THE INNER RACE OF THE WHEEL BEARING WERE STILL SECURE ON THE AXLE. ONLY PROBLEM WAS; THE TIRE WAS MISSING. REPORTER ALSO STATED THIS WAS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS ACFT TYPE HAS LOST A TIRE. THEY DID NOT HEAR ANY NOISE OR EXPERIENCE ANY VIBRATION AS A RESULT OF THE TIRE SEPARATING FROM THE AXLE.
