Narrative:
Normal flight. During cruise phase; left engine started indicating a rise in oil temperature. It continued to rise and our manual led us to shut the engine down. We feel we followed all appropriate steps. We declared an emergency; and landed uneventfully.

Title: A B767-300 DEVELOPED HIGH OIL TEMP DURING CRUISE FLT. THE QRH WAS FOLLOWED LEADING TO AN ENG SHUTDOWN AND EMER LANDING.
Narrative: NORMAL FLT. DURING CRUISE PHASE; L ENG STARTED INDICATING A RISE IN OIL TEMP. IT CONTINUED TO RISE AND OUR MANUAL LED US TO SHUT THE ENG DOWN. WE FEEL WE FOLLOWED ALL APPROPRIATE STEPS. WE DECLARED AN EMER; AND LANDED UNEVENTFULLY.
