Narrative:

Runway change after passing konzl intersection causes a hectic confusing heads down situation which has a very simple remedy -- give us our runway assignment before konzl. I mentioned this to socal and the immediate response was to berate us and our fellow company pilots by stating that air carrier Y and air carrier Z don't complain of this situation so we should stop bringing it up. He went on to tell me to speak with my chief pilot in lax because they said the runway changes were not a problem. I discontinued the conversation because the controller's behavior was unprofessional and I had an airplane with passenger and crew members to fly. Socal is very much aware of this problem. It chooses to ignore it.
