Narrative:

During pushback ground crew seemed to lose control of jet and allowed tug and jet to become jackknifed. There were a few loud banging noises and the jet was then stopped. We then had maintenance inspect the nosewheel area; which they said was ok; and we continued our push with another tug driver after about a 10 min delay. Tug drivers need better or more training.
