Narrative:

On aircraft had an eec fault 75-20441. So I isolated the problem to left vbv actuator. So I continued to right&right left vbv actuator on #1 engine per maintenance manual. Then performed installations test on the vbv actuator per maintenance manual. Tests X and test Y found no defects. Operations and leak check good. After correcting the problem and before closing engine cowls I took it upon myself to pull #1 engine fire handle because techs were cleaning the cockpit and did not want to shut down power. After all this I forgot to reset fire handle. I should have pulled and tagged the fire handle then it would have been more visible.
