Narrative:

On level off; ATC advised; as we checked on frequency; that we showed higher than assigned altitude. Altimeters and transponder were reset. Flight resumed cruise at FL380. Problem caused by several factors (ie climbing through moderate turbulence at transition altitude; icing conditions in climb; other distractions) which seem to have all occurred at the same time. Center notified us of deviation as we were checking on and leveling at FL380. Captain (PF) returned aircraft to proper level and flight continued on without further incident. Problem seems to have occurred due to distractions at transition altitude affecting both crew members.
