Narrative:

Departing runway 20C in bna. As part of the takeoff clearance; the tower issued a right turn to heading 270 degrees. We departed; and were handed off to departure. We did not make the turn as cleared. After checking in with departure; we were given a clearance to 15000 ft. A min or two later; departure prompted us about the turn; as we were still on runway heading. Departure gave us a right turn to heading 310 degrees at this point. Moments later; we were instructed to level off at 5000 ft. We were climbing through 4600 ft; but we made the leveloff at 5000 ft. There was no traffic on our TCAS display; nor was any traffic observed looking outside. We did not receive a TA or RA. I am a new captain and was flying with a new first officer. I believe our inexperience in seat was the major cause of the deviation. In addition; because I had never been to this airport under part 121; I was distraction by the taxi out; departure (titan one); and the airport operations. In the future; I must be vigilant about headings with takeoff clearance. It is easy to get complacent after constantly going to airports where you are assigned runway heading for every departure.

Title: AN EMB140 DEPARTING BNA FAILED TO MAKE A POST TKOF TURN AS CLRED. CAPT NOTES NEW FO; RECENT CAPT QUALIFICATION AND UNFAMILIARITY WITH ARPT AS FACTORS.

Narrative: DEPARTING RWY 20C IN BNA. AS PART OF THE TKOF CLRNC; THE TWR ISSUED A R TURN TO HDG 270 DEGS. WE DEPARTED; AND WERE HANDED OFF TO DEP. WE DID NOT MAKE THE TURN AS CLRED. AFTER CHKING IN WITH DEP; WE WERE GIVEN A CLRNC TO 15000 FT. A MIN OR TWO LATER; DEP PROMPTED US ABOUT THE TURN; AS WE WERE STILL ON RWY HDG. DEP GAVE US A R TURN TO HDG 310 DEGS AT THIS POINT. MOMENTS LATER; WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO LEVEL OFF AT 5000 FT. WE WERE CLBING THROUGH 4600 FT; BUT WE MADE THE LEVELOFF AT 5000 FT. THERE WAS NO TFC ON OUR TCAS DISPLAY; NOR WAS ANY TFC OBSERVED LOOKING OUTSIDE. WE DID NOT RECEIVE A TA OR RA. I AM A NEW CAPT AND WAS FLYING WITH A NEW FO. I BELIEVE OUR INEXPERIENCE IN SEAT WAS THE MAJOR CAUSE OF THE DEV. IN ADDITION; BECAUSE I HAD NEVER BEEN TO THIS ARPT UNDER PART 121; I WAS DISTR BY THE TAXI OUT; DEP (TITAN ONE); AND THE ARPT OPS. IN THE FUTURE; I MUST BE VIGILANT ABOUT HDGS WITH TKOF CLRNC. IT IS EASY TO GET COMPLACENT AFTER CONSTANTLY GOING TO ARPTS WHERE YOU ARE ASSIGNED RWY HDG FOR EVERY DEP.
