Narrative:

During westbound climb out; approximately 6 miles west of lru; we passed an eastbound uav and a cessna 180 chase plane. We came in very close proximity to one another. Uav activity was announced on the lru AWOS; but I feel the uav; or operations trailer set up at lru could/should have told us on departure from lru that the uav was west of the airport; eastbound. I also hold the pilot of the chase plane responsible for not listening to unicom and upon hearing an announcement of an aircraft in the area; they should announce where the uav is; altitude; directions; and intentions. By both the headquarters and chase plane not talking it makes for a very unsafe situation. I am very concerned. These people should be talking.
