Narrative:

On arrival PMM5 into ord we hit wake turbulence from aircraft 8 mi in front of us. Aircraft rolled 30 degrees left and then back to right. Advised ATC and we were given speed reduction to 210 KTS and then told behind a heavy B777. That was first we heard about B777. Winds at altitude were 265 degrees/28 KTS on arrival path.
