Narrative:

While taxiing to runway 24L we were told to hold short of E8 on taxiway east and monitor tower. When on tower we were told to taxi taxiway east to runway 24L and position and hold runway 24L. While approaching runway 24L on taxiway east we noticed an aircraft on 1.5 mi final for runway 24R turning towards runway 24L and also heard ATC clear aircraft to land on runway 24L. We are now approaching hold short lines and captain is brining aircraft to stop. I am about to challenge our position and hold clearance when ATC now tells us to hold short runway 24L. Heavy traffic on frequency. Don't change landing aircraft's runway on short notice or give hold short instructions first.
