Narrative:

On oct/wed/06; under VFR conditions with a light wind out of the south; I was practicing landing with an instructor. On the second landing; a touch and go; I advanced the throttle smoothly and after a couple of seconds the aircraft veered to the left and struck 2 airport landing lights with the left strut and the left wheel fairing. I pulled the throttle back and returned to the runway. I believe p-factor and lack of right rudder caused the incident. Further training with my instructor was received after the incident and another training session will be scheduled. Supplemental information from acn 714439: we then inspected the aircraft and found damage to its left landing gear strut fairing and wheel fairing. Since the damage was determined to be cosmetic; we continued our mission. In my opinion; the problem occurred due to lack of proper control input while power was being applied for takeoff.

Title: A C182 PLT ADDING PWR FOR TKOF AFTER A TOUCH AND GO LNDG VEERED L AND STRUCK RWY LIGHTS WITH THE ACFT'S LNDG GEAR; CAUSING MINOR ACFT DAMAGE.

SINCE THE DAMAGE WAS DETERMINED TO BE COSMETIC; WE CONTINUED OUR MISSION. IN MY OPINION; THE PROB OCCURRED DUE TO LACK OF PROPER CTL INPUT WHILE PWR WAS BEING APPLIED FOR TKOF.
